Musings from Oracle World 2019

Here is my take on annual fall ritual from Oracle unveiling their products and feature additions to the existing products, acquisitions and much more. My focus here is with respect to updates from Oracle Cloud Applications space. Oracle still supports their enterprise applications like E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, JDE till end 2030, but they seems to have a good traction with their cloud applications portfolio. Oracle packed the conference with newest updates with respect their cloud applications, cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, voice user interfaces and more. It’s a great opportunity for the current customers to know about the new product features and decide about their cloud strategy.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.9 Feature Update

For those customers still sticking with Oracle E-Business Suite, here are some updates. For various reasons some customers would like to stick with Oracle EBS for foreseeable future. The good news is Oracle is committed to support Oracle EBS till 2030. Some customers have a cloud strategy in place, some already moved some applications to cloud, some have no plans for the cloud yet. But the fact is Oracle E-Business Suite is the work horse and very much active for lot customers. Oracle has released the maintenance version of Oracle E-Business Suite 12.2.9. The 12.2.9 release combines new features and enhancements with error corrections and statutory and regulatory updates in a consolidated, suite-wide patch set.
